After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Limerick, Ireland, where I specialized in German, French, and European studies, I built up my career as an international marketing and sales executive in Munich, Sydney, and Auckland. In all of my professional roles, I was able to develop my skills as a creative writer, producing content for media and marketing communications in a variety of industries, including publishing, television, biotechnology, e-mobility, and charity, to name a few.
When I qualified as an Online and Content Marketing Manager, I decided to combine my copywriting, language, and digital know-how to provide content marketing expertise with an international approach. Consequently, I established English Content.

As well as being a native English copywriter, I am also an experienced international sales executive so I’ve been there, trying to convince Eskimos to buy ice, or Australians to buy koalas (truly!). I come from Ireland where we grew up writing British or the Queen’s English. However, as I have lived and worked in many different countries and because I develop content for an international client base with marketing interests in the USA, Canada, Australia, and the UK, I am experienced in writing both British and American English.
I am proud to say that I speak German fluently. In fact, I started learning German at school in Limerick city at the age of 11, and I specialized in the language while at university. After graduating, I moved to Munich and was employed by many German companies before I decided to set up English Content. I won’t tell you what age I am now but let’s just say, that’s many years of speaking German as a second language.
